The short answer to this burning question is...NO. If you were already following someone before joining the service, that connection is safe. Our Auto-Whitelist feature takes care of it the moment you sign up. That means friends, collaborators, clients, or anyone you followed manually before using Flock, for that matter, stays exactly where they are.
What about people I follow manually after connecting?
Once you’ve connected your account, any new people you follow on your own won’t be added to the whitelist automatically. The same goes for users who follow you back through Flock’s activity. If you want to make sure someone stays on your list, you’ll need to add them to your whitelist from the dashboard. It only takes a second (check this guide here).
Quick heads-up
Instagram has a limit of 7,500 accounts you can follow. If your following count is already over 6,500, we won’t have as much room to work with. That can slow down your growth, so it’s worth doing a little cleanup if needed before you connect your account to the system.
